Hosting Services

Minimal Hosting Package:

This service includes the installation of your web site as a Sub-Domain of an existing Domain. The default is www.ust-group.com/<your domain> (e.g., www.ust-group.com/ubasco) It includes a virtual web server, an ftp account to upload your web pages and a personal mail account.

Setup Costs:        CHF 25.00
Recurring Costs:   CHF 10.00 per month

Optional Costs:   CHF 2.50 per month for each additional email account 
                          CHF 5.00 per month for Web based mail
                            

Basic Hosting Package:

This service includes the registration of your Domain and the setup and operation of the complete structure for the basic Internet services www, ftp and mail.

The basic hosting package comes in tow flavors: a standard (or commercial) package and a non-commercial package.

Non-Commercial Hosting Package:

The non-commercial hosting package addresses clubs, political groups, educational institutes or other non-profit organizations. It includes www and ftp services with the options for FrontPage extensions and up to 3 email accounts. Backups are performed on a weekly bases.

Recurring Costs:   CHF 50.00 per month

Optional Costs:    CHF 2.50 per month for each additional email account (on top of the basic 5)
                           CHF 5.00 per month for Web based mail

3rd Party Costs:    Registering Fees with any of the registering agencies (Network Solutions, Switch, Tonic) are not included.

Commercial Hosting Package:

The commercial hosting package addresses any customer who sells a product or service over the internet and requires a reliable Internet infrastructure. It includes www and ftp services with the options for FrontPage extensions and unlimited email accounts. Backups are performed on a daily bases.

Recurring Costs:   CHF 100.00 per month

Optional Costs:     CHF 10.00 per month for Web based mail

3rd Party Costs:    Registering Fees with any of the registering agencies (Network Solutions, Switch, Tonic) are not included.

Server Hosting Package

With this service, the customer operates a dedicated server for all of his Internet requirements. For specific e-commerce applications such as credit card clearing, database engines, etc. this service is a requirement. The service includes power and network connection (up to 5 IP addresses), a remote boot option (if the server hangs), weekly backup via ftp. 

Setup Costs:        CHF 250.00
Recurring Costs:   CHF 250.00 per month

Optional Costs:     CHF 150.00 per month for the rent of a dedicated server (Intel Platform (currently Pentium III), plenty of memory and storage)

Variable Costs:     Configuration, setup and support of customer specific software components (CHF 185.00 per hour) 

3rd Party Costs:    Registering Fees with any of the registering agencies (Network Solutions, Switch, Tonic) are not included.

Mail Services

We see mail (or messaging) services separated from other Internet services such us www or ftp. From our experience, electronic mail can be the base for more complicated services such as e-commerce and it is the service that most frequently will change (new employee = new account, special offerings = mailing lists, topic related auto reply systems, etc.)

Basic Mail Services: (included in the basic Hosting package)

This service includes up to 5 SMTP mail accounts, accessible with POP or IMAP4 protocols. 

Setup Costs:        CHF 25.00 (if purchased without a Hosting package)
Recurring Costs:   CHF 10.00 per month (if purchased without a Hosting package)

Optional Costs:     CHF 2.50 per month for each additional account (on top of the basic 5)
                           CHF 5.00 per month for Web based mail
                           

Other Options:      CHF 5.00 one time fee for each requested configuration change (other than adding or deleting a user)

3rd Party Costs:    Registering Fees with any of the registering agencies (Network Solutions, Switch, Tonic) are not included (only an issue when purchased without a Hosting package)

E-Commerce Solutions

Please drop us an email with your e-commerce requirements such as credit card clearing, secure pages, database integration, automated solutions, whatever. We will send you a detailed offering.

Support, Web Design and Programming

Be aware that the Internet offers many loopholes and you might experience service deterioration or worse due to general network problems. We do our best, such as several links into the Internet backbones, in order to reduce the risks, but we are unable to give you any guarantees. There are too many dependencies out there ... Anyway, the support for our infrastructure services is included in the recurring fees. You can contact us per mail, phone or fax and we fix any infrastructure problems usually in less than 5 minutes from the first incident message. Configuration changes are charged at a rate of CHF 150.00 (unless you have our usual 12 month contract that includes up to 10 free changes). Other support such as consulting you with your web design, trying to analyze problems outside of our scope, is charged at a rate of CHF 185.00 per hour.

Web Design and Programming is charged at a rate of CHF 150.00 per hour.

Miscellaneous Services

DNS Configuration:

This service is required, if you want to activate a Domain but don't require any services (yet). You have the choice of 3 prefabricated "Under Construction" web pages or you can provide your own one. As an alternative, we can redirect any web request to another address (specified by you).

Domain Alias:

This service provides a second (or third) Domain name to your already existing Domain. Your existing Domain can be hosted by us or by any other provider world wide.

Individual Mail Accounts:

Sometimes you want to have a private mail account on a different domain than yours (but don't want to go to one of the well known free mail services). For such occasions we offer mail accounts on several Domains. Or maybe you have a Domain registered but not activated. With this service you could operate a mail-account together with your initial web presence.

The service includes 1 mail account, accessible either with POP or IMAP4 protocols (optionally Web based). As another option, we can define it as a forward account to any Internet mail address you name us.

Setup Costs:        CHF 10.00
Recurring Costs:   CHF 5.00 per month

Optional Costs:     CHF 5.00 per month for Web based mail

Contracts:

The standard contract is 12 months (and includes 10 free configuration changes). The minimal contract length is 3 months. For server hosting, the minimal contract length is 12 months.
